Starry Sky Automotive reveals a new rival for the electric supercar throne

A new Chinese brand called Starry Sky Automotive just shared teaser images of its very first vehicle - a sleek, powerful supercar. The company claims it will show its new creation to the world at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2026. While some experts are waiting to see if the company actually shows up at the event, the details released so far have caught the attention of many car fans.

This new EV looks like it belongs on a racetrack. It has a long, low body that sits close to the ground. The front and back fenders are raised, giving it a muscular look. The wheels have a six-spoke design that looks like flower petals. These wheels have a six-hole bolt pattern, which is common on very fast cars that need strong carbon-ceramic brakes to stop quickly. The car also has a hidden "A-pillar," which is the part that holds the windshield, making the car look longer and smoother than it already is.

Aerodynamics play a big role in how EVs perform, and this car is no exception. It features large side wing panels and big air vents in the front bumper. These parts help air move around the car easily. At the back, a huge wing helps push the car down onto the road so it doesn't lose grip. The taillights are one long strip across the rear, with a special dot pattern that makes them look 3D. There is also a dual-layer diffuser at the bottom of the rear bumper.

Under the sleek body, this electric supercar promises some wild numbers. Starry Sky Automotive says the car will have more than 1,000 horsepower, and it is expected to go from 0 to 62 mph in less than 1.8 seconds. To keep everything from getting too hot, the company is using a special cooling system that uses refrigerant to keep the motor temperature at just 15 degrees Celsius, helping the car stay fast even when it is being driven hard.

According to initial information released by the company, Starry Sky Automotive is working with the Tsinghua University Suzhou Automotive Research Institute. Together, they are building places to study advanced batteries and electric motors. They are looking into solid-state batteries, which could hold more energy than the batteries in most electric cars today. They are also working on smart software to manage the battery and new types of motors that are smaller and lighter. This partnership shows that the brand wants to be taken seriously in the high-tech world of EVs.

Even with all these exciting details, there is still some mystery - Starry Sky Automotive is not yet on the official list of exhibitors for the CES event. This could mean the company is a very late addition, or the plans are still being finalized. Either way, with the teaser images now public and social media accounts active, the automotive world is watching closely. If the car does arrive in 2026, it could be one of the quickest electric cars ever made.
