Subaru Solterra SUV trims and pricing officially announced, starts at $44,995
Subaru's first full-fledged EV called Solterra finally gets a price next to its name along with the available trims. Interestingly, the common ground between all three options is the drivetrain. All configurations get a dual-motor, all-wheel drive with a peak output of 215hp. The rated range is just 367 km, which isn't all that impressive from the 71.4 kWh battery.
What sets the three configurations apart are the additional safety and comfort features. The base Premium trim (yes, Premium is the lowest tier) asks $44,995 and includes 8-inch infotainment with support for CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver assist feature is included as well as a rear camera with traffic detection and pedestrian warnings.
The Limited option sets you back $48,495 and swaps out the 8-inch infotainment screen for a bigger 12.3-inch one. The package also includes a 360-degree camera view, wireless charging dock for your phone, parking features, rear-cross traffic detection and digital key support. The audio is tuned by Harman Kardon and LED fog lights are also on the menu.
Spending $51,995 for the highest Touring tier adds a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats and digital rear-view mirrors with HomeLink support. That's on top of the Limited variant, of course.
Actual sales are expected to begin sometime this year while pre-orders are already open. Early birds will get EVgo charging credit or some discounts on a home Level 2 charger.
