The 2026 Dacia Spring leads the wave of big updates for the company

Dacia, known for keeping things simple and affordable, is updating almost every car it sells for 2026. Many companies are making cars more expensive, but Dacia is trying to give drivers more for their money. The biggest news is the updated Dacia Spring, which is one of the most affordable electric cars you can buy today. It looks different, drives better, and uses a new kind of battery that should last a long time.

The 2026 Dacia Spring is no longer just a slow city car. Dacia replaced the old, weak motors with two new choices. You can now get a version with 70 horsepower or a much faster one with 100 horsepower. The 70-horsepower model can reach 62 mph in about 10 seconds - the old base model took over 26 seconds to do the same thing.

The Spring is getting a new 24.3 kWh battery for 2026 that uses Lithium-Iron-Phosphate technology. The new battery is tougher and can be charged many times without wearing out. And even though it is slightly smaller than before, the car still travels 140 miles on a full charge.

Engineers also made the Spring slicker. They added parts to the bottom of the car to improve the car's aerodynamics. The car has a new anti-roll bar and better brakes as well. In many European countries, the price for this small EV can drop as low as £10,100 with government help, making it a serious option for anyone looking for an affordable electric car.

But Dacia isn't just focusing on electric cars. The Dacia Jogger is getting a new Hybrid 155 engine. This system uses a 1.8-liter engine and two electric motors to produce 155 horsepower. In the city, this car can drive using only electricity about 80% of the time.

The Sandero and Jogger now have bigger LPG tanks that hold nearly 50 liters instead of 40. If you fill up both the petrol and LPG tanks, a Sandero can travel a massive 988 miles before you need to stop for fuel. Dacia also added a 10-inch touchscreen and wireless phone charging to these cars to make them feel more modern.

The Duster and the new Bigster are also getting something special - the Hybrid-G 150 4x4. This is the first time a car has combined a hybrid engine, LPG fuel, and four-wheel drive. It uses a 140-horsepower engine for the front wheels and a small electric motor for the back wheels.

Dacia even thought about people who love camping. They released a new "InNature" awning that is 3 meters by 3 meters. It sticks to the roof of the car and gives you a big shaded area to sit under. They also added "YouClip" points inside the cars. These are little spots where you can clip on things like a glasses case or a bag hook.
