Xiaomi delivers 100,000th SU7, further adjusts 2024 target
Xiaomi recently announced that it reached its production milestone ahead of schedule - 100,000 SU7 vehicles rolled off the production line in the company's factory in Beijing. And now, the Chinese tech giant has announced that it has already shipped that many units.
That marks another milestone in 2024, which Xiaomi reached ahead of schedule. The new carmaker is adjusting its target to 130,000 deliveries in 2024 as it's already maximum production capacity of around 24,000 units per month. Originally, the first phase of the factory facility was planned to produce half of that.
A new section of the factory is being built that should ease the pressure on demand, but this will I'lltake time.
The target reevaluation doesn't come as a surprise. Xiaomi's SU7 proved to be popular from the very beginning, and the company's 100,000 target for 2024 was adjusted to 120,000 earlier in the year. It looks like things went even better than expected, so Xiaomi added another 10,000 units.
