Last month FIAT unveiled the Grande Panda, which looks like it's basically its version of the Citroen e-C3. At the time there was no pricing information, but that's changed today.

Fiat CEO Olivier Francois revealed that the Grande Panda will start at under $27,700, and that - surprise, surprise - matches what the e-C3 is going for.

The Grande Panda will will become available this fall starting in France and Italy. It will be built at the Stellantis plant in Kragujevac, Serbia. Production is set to start in the second half of this month.

The brand wants it to fill the 500L-shaped hole in its lineup, and allow Fiat and parent Stellantis stave off the cheap Chinese EV invasion (with help from the EU, of course).

Stellantis will launch 13 low-ish cost models throughout its myriad brands using this exact platform, so expect to see a lot more of this car with different brand names attached to it. FIAT itself will use it for four cars in total, starting with the Grande Panda.

The Grande Panda has a 44 kWh battery and an 83 kW motor, giving it an estimated WLTP range of 199 miles. It's 157.1 inches long, 69.3 inches wide and 61.8 inches tall, with a 12.7 ft³ trunk.
