Jeep unveils three EV SUVs, first one coming in 2023

Ro, 08 September 2022

Jeep plans to deliver its first fully electrified vehicle to the European market as early as next year. That's going to be the Avenger. Starting next year, the company will open pre-orders for two more SUVs - Wagoneer and Recon - both expected to enter mass production in 2024 and be in stores by 2025.

The Avenger will be even smaller than Jeep's smallest US model, the Renegade, and will remain exclusive to Europe. The vehicle will be built in Poland and will offer about 400 km of range. We will be able to see it in person during this year's Paris Motor Show in October.

Jeep Recon, on the other hand, will be a hardcore SUV that's well-equipped to cross the 35 km off-road Rubicon Trail near Lake Tahoe and go back to town for a recharge. It will also feature Jeep's famous Selec-Terrain traction system, e-locker axle tech and under-body protection. You can even easily remove all doors on the vehicle. The company's last-gen Uconnect infotainment system is also on the menu.

Just like the Recon, the Wagoneer will be based on the STLA Large platform for EVs. Speaking of the Wagoneer, this one will try to appeal to different customers. A performance SUV with 600hp output and more than 600km of range this one will do 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

After North America, the Wagoneer and Recon will eventually make their way to China, but Europe will likely be a priority for the company.
