Kia EV4 delayed until next year
Last October during its EV Day in Korea, Kia unveiled the EV3 and EV4 concepts, which were both supposed to become production models this year - the EV3 in the first half, the EV4 towards the end.
While nothing seems to have changed regarding the launch of the EV3, the EV4 has been delayed until early next year, according to South Korean media reports.
Kia Vice President Woo-Jeong Joo shared the information during the latest local conference call. He didn't outright mention a reason for the EV4's delay, but said this:
Electric vehicles are the biggest influence on Kia’s sales and profits. We plan to flexibly respond to market changes in the medium to long term. The EV3, EV4, and EV5 will be launched sequentially, and we are determined to make these three models successful.
The EV4 will be a compact sedan, while the EV3 will be a small SUV. The EV4 should compete head-on with the Tesla Model 3 and it will use the E-GMP platform shared by Kia with Hyundai and Genesis.
Kia has completed preparations for EV production at a new plant in Korea after eight months of conversion work, and this factory is now ready to make 150,000 EVs each year.

I hope it looks better in real life than in photos. The EV6 is good looking, this looks a bit off. In photos and renders, at least.
