Lucid Air Grand Touring available for immediate delivery
Great news for those who want to jump into a brand-new EV but don’t want to wait for months or even years. Lucid has introduced a new section to its US website called Ready to Deliver. As the name suggests, that section is dedicated for pre-configured cars ready for delivery in days.
The choice of the vehicles for now is limited just to Air Grand Tour, but customers have a choice of 9 different options. The vehicles are available in different colors and with different wheel options and of course interiors as well.
All vehicles are priced at $154,000 without the destination charge, which makes choosing so much easier. With the vehicles available for delivery before the end of this year they all qualify for the EV tax credit of $7,500 under the old rules. The new rules unfortunately won’t apply to Lucid Air since it is simply too expensive.
The straightforward financing option is on the table for those who want to buy Lucid Air right now, 15% down and $1,999 monthly payments for 6 years will get you in the seat. Finally all Lucid Air Grand Tour come with the two-year unlimited charging at Electrify America network.
Just as a reminder, the Air Grand Touring comes with AWD dual-motor drivetrain with 602 kW (819 HP) and 1,200 Nm of torque. It offers blistering performance with 0 to 60 mph taking only 3 seconds and with a record breaking EPA range of 830 km.
The interior is probably the biggest in its class, it is way bigger than that on Mercedes EQS despite Air being a much smaller car - you can compare the two right here. There is a full-length glass roof, front seats are cooled and heated and have the massage option. Infotainment is provided by a clever retractable center screen and the driver has a 34”-wide display that stretches on top of the dashboard.
It is a perfect solution for anyone who doesn’t mind having the options chosen for them. Being able to buy the Lucid Air and have it delivered within days or a couple of weeks at most is what the future really feels like. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll be able to just walk into the showroom and drive out in a brand new EV - just like we used to in the olden days.
