New Tesla Model 3 Performance bares it all in latest video
The launch of the refreshed Tesla Model 3 Performance is tantalizingly close, with leaks reaching a fever pitch. The all-new fastest Model 3 has been spotted numerous times — both in the US and in Europe. The latest photos and the first high-resolution video come from Santa Monica, US, courtesy of X user JeffTutorials.
The Model 3 in the video is undoubtedly the new performance version. It has the new sports seats, the rear carbon fiber spoiler, and the large wheels hide the upgraded brakes. The car clearly sits lower to the ground, courtesy of the recently revealed upgraded suspension. The ultra-red Model 3 also sports a distinctive front bumper with prominent side air intakes.
The new Model 3 Performance will be the most powerful 3 yet, thanks to its "all-new high-performance drive units." Unofficial reports suggest a potential 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a powertrain with over 500 hp combined output—a significant improvement over the outgoing version. The new front motor is rated at 201 horsepower, while an updated rear unit packs 406 hp.
The in-house software will control the adaptive suspension, promising a comfortable ride when needed and sharp handling when called upon. Tesla promises Version 3 of its Track Mode software is also on board. It allows drivers to fine-tune settings like handling balance, stability controls, and even regenerative braking.
Due to upgraded components, the performance model boasts a much-improved braking performance. Redesigned lightweight, staggered wheels that we can see in the latest photos promise improved handling. The new front and rear bumpers, a rear diffuser, and a carbon fiber spoiler complete the visual overhaul.
There is no pricing information yet, nor has the specification been confirmed. With the launch imminent, and knowing Tesla's penchant for unannounced debuts, we can expect either another detailed leak or a surprise reveal. Tesla is about to go official with its latest financial results, and what better way to sweeten the blow than by releasing the fastest Model 3?
