For me actually major point for using this would be that on a longer journey, the phone isn't constantly plugged to a charging cable, which is definitely not good for its akku (on one side, it's being used more, especially if I am also using it as an access point for my car, and it is charging). I know it is possible to control whether a device connected over usb-c is charged or not (have a lapdock where you can turn it on or off), but Google has refused to make it possible to set on your infotaiment, whether connected phone gets charged, or not.

First try to go back to the car dealer and ask them to check why doesn't connect to the phone as it should.

Will Android-Auto be another one of the many Alphabet (Google) "bets" with constantly changing UI, API, and terms-of-use, which Pichai will suddenly cut with little or zero notice?

My car has wireless AA, but some how my Asus Rog 7 phone connecta only with wire.. can this device or any other solution help?

One major downside is that this doesn't ship outside of the EU

So far can't get it to switch devices. Hopefully they can figure out why. Have pixel 6 and 7. Tried all the settings and trouble shooting. Will switch from 7 to 6. But if connected to 6, will just reconnect to 6. Can only get 7 to connect if 6 is off.

I had the first AA dongle on a VW Tiguan 2019. Unfortunately i stopped using it as it had bugs, latency was noticeable and at times were issues with connection. When i entered the car at times was not connecting, i should switch off/on the wifi etc. Since 2021 i stopped using it. Hopefully they solved this issues now with the 2nd gen, but i would prefer to buy it locally and have the option to return it if I observe that connection is nit flawless.
