Apple and Aston Martin announce CarPlay Ultra - a next-generation infotainment system
- stag
future is voice assistance.
company should focus on that thing only to make it work like magic with help of ai.
ps: it should be so emersive and focused (blurring the background) like driving a car at triple digit.

Any machine can be fouled from factory but if it clear certain regulations it’s liberal to be used. If the vehicle is partially intelligent old rules of ergonomics really don’t apply. If an aircraft could fly itself perhaps the new normal would be that one wouldn’t prefer a piloted flight. There are 5 levels of autonomy and of the car is above 4 means their won’t be controls like even steering wheel. Even if you don like it it’s the new normal.

When I buy a sportscar like an Aston Martin, I don't buy it to f*ck around with displays and useless settings. I buy it for the driving experience, for the speed and for the sound.
Moreover, the infotainment system distracts a lot from driving and is dangerous. Don't know why smartphone usage is forbidden but you are allowed to play with a tablet while driving.
Last but not least, what if I have an Android phone? Can I connect it to the car to listen at my music at least, or do I need to convert into an iOS fanboy?

If it was a L. Martin however a Surface sounds better than an iPhone. For those who are lost in marketing propaganda, ARM was made for a Centurion Tank but x86 was made by entire space industry for mission controls of Rockets. Tank mission is really limited while expected to endure, But it can't drop the Nuke.

Except for navigation there is no need for any of this stuff
It makes driving more dangerous then it already is.
When we get self driving cars in the future then ok, but while you need to keep eyes on road it should all be labeled as distraction tech and be banned. With companys being at fault when accidents happen
