Mercedes-Benz EQS facelift spotted in the wild

Ro, 07 August 2024

The Mercedes-Benz EQS was originally released back in 2021, so it's just about time it got a refresh. And by the looks of it we won't have to wait long for that as someone spotted a parked facelifted EQS, in partial camouflage wrap.

Let's begin with the front. The camo does a decent job of hiding the fine details, but we can see the headlights retain the same overall shape but sport a different LED arrangement. It's reminiscent of the standard C, E and S class ICE vehicles from Mercedes with the noticeable separation between the standard and high beams. The sharp triangle-like shape, however, reminds us of some BMW headlight design.

The bottom side vents look smaller and so does the central bottom grille.

The taillights are a similar story with the same shape, but once again a different LED setup inside. There's a distinct LED strip running along the middle of the taillight, slightly resembling what Audi does on a number of its cars. Perhaps the central LED that runs across the whole trunk is here to stay, but it's hard to tell since it's all covered in camo.

The person who took the pictures tried filming a short video of the exterior and interior (found at the source link below), but we can hardly see anything inside from it.

Since prototypes are already in the streets, the facelifted EQS is probably just around the corner. It will likely be ready to hit the streets sometime in 2025.
