Unquestionably, the standout feature is the "Electric Vehicle Analysis" tool. This clever function uses your real-world driving datato simulate how an electric model would fit into your lifestyle. The app analyzes at least 200 trips and 1,240 miles of driving data, revealing how many journeys could have been completed on a single charge with a chosen electric BMW. It's a virtual test drive designed to address concerns about range anxiety, offering a tangible glimpse into the practicality of electric mobility.

The company plans to expand the Electric Vehicle Analysis tool's capabilities, incorporating insights into charging infrastructure availability and required charging times. These additions will provide an even clearer picture of how seamlessly an electric BMW would integrate into our daily lives.

"Electric vehicles are ready to be part of many people's everyday lives - they just haven't tried it yet," notes Dirk Wiedmann, Senior VP of Sales Strategy and Digitalisation. "Our app's Electric Vehicle Analysis assists customers in making an informed decision about their next vehicle's powertrain."

Beyond the Electric Vehicle Analysis, BMW and Mini have enhanced their apps with a suite of features designed to improve the journey planning experience. It is possible now to set route preferences like avoiding toll roads or ferries directly within the app, with these preferences automatically synchronizing with the vehicle's navigation system. Electric vehicle drivers can even add individual charging stops to their routes and receive notifications about amenities near charging stations, further easing range anxiety and enhancing the overall driving experience.
