Nio ET9 spied ahead of its official debut
The ET9 is Nio's largest vehicle to date, measuring 209.6 inches in length, 79.4 inches in width, and 63.8 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 128 inches. The car's coupe-like design and high ground clearance give it a somewhat confused, SUV-like appearance. The ET9's interior is cavernous, and the vehicle has a large frunk - everything about it is on the large side of things. And now we have the first photos of the production version.
The ET9's interior is designed with passenger comfort and entertainment in mind. The car features two independent rear seats with 24 self-developed patent technologies, including a seat cushion width of up to 22.9 inches and a backrest angle that can be adjusted to 45 degrees. The rear seats also feature entertainment units mounted on the back of the front seats, an executive-style desk, and a refrigerator.
The ET9 comes with a rectangular multifunction steering wheel. The vehicle is equipped with steer-by-wire technology and an AR head-up display system that provides the equivalent of a 120-inch display effect. The car also features Nio's own Shenji NX9031 5 nm automotive-grade intelligent driving chip. Combined with the SkyOS Tianshu operating system, it provides a self-developed intelligent system architecture.
The 120 kWh battery pack is a part of the first global 900 V high-voltage architecture in China. The car also features the Skyride intelligent chassis system, which incorporates rear-wheel steering and fully active air suspension. This system can provide 1000 torque adjustments per second and four-wheel independent control to meet the needs of different driving scenarios.
The deliveries of Nio's electric flagship are set to begin in early 2025 with the expected retail price of around RMB 800,000 ($110,000).
