Nio's Onvo sells 20,000 L60 EVs in three months
Nio's first sub-brand, Onvo, launched its first EV, the L60, back in May. Deliveries then started in September, and now, around three months later, we have the first milestone to talk about.
According to a new report out of China, more than 20,000 Onvo L60 EVs have already been delivered. Now, for context, keep in mind that this was built to compete directly with Tesla's Model Y, and that car sells over 40,000 units in one month in China.
That said, this is still pretty good sales performance for a brand's first ever car (technically it is that, even though Onvo is basically part of Nio). Delivery numbers for the L60 have been on a continuous upward trajectory, so if the numbers keep rising its sales performance may get a lot more impressive in 2025.
Onvo aims to deliver 10,000 cars in December, and apparently there have been some issues with battery availability for the L60, that may have impeded its sales performance thus far. The Onvo L60 will be offered in Europe starting next year, which may help its numbers go up.
