Hyundai Ioniq V specs revealed: 225 hp, up to 404 miles range

During the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, the Hyundai-Beijing joint venture unveiled the new Ioniq V fastback, but not many details were given at the time. But as the model approaches its market release, we now get to see what's under the hood, thanks to a Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information listing. The vehicle is supposed to enter the Chinese market by the end of this year and aims to bring back some of Hyundai's market share in the country.

Anyway, back to the Ioniq V. The vehicle's entry-level configuration offers a 53.5 kWh LFP battery supplied by CATL, paired with an 188-hp electric motor. With this configuration, the vehicle has a range between 323 miles and 336 miles according to CLTC data.

The long-range option carries a 66.8 kWh LFP pack with a 225-hp motor. The CLTC range in this case is between 385 miles and 404 miles, depending on the equipment.

The Ioniq V fastback is a big vehicle, measuring 192.9 inches in length, 74.4 inches in width, 57.9 inches in height. The wheelbase is 114.2 inches long.

The centerpiece feature of the interior is a huge 27-inch dual-screen setup, and the car is also equipped with a Momenta-developed ADAS.

Hyundai says Chinese consumers can expect an EREV variant in the near future as well.

The car is seemingly all set for a 2026 launch.
