BMW i4 convertible is definitely coming, spied in testing
The rumored BMW i4 Convertible is indeed happening, as it was spied testing in camo gear. Some of the prototype's design traits are clearly visible. It uses a soft fabric top, rather than the retro folding hardtop.
The i4 Convertible will be BMW's first convertible EV and will enter into a very sparse market - some notable names are the Fiat 500e Cabrio and the MG Cyberster. It's expected to be based on the new BMW i3, which means an 800V architecture and above 497 miles WLTP range.
The i4 Convertible, codenamed NA3, will also adopt the new Neue Klasse design language with the closed-off front grille and new headlights. The car will have a 2+2 seating layout and two doors.
BMW will also bring out an i4 Coupe (NA3) around the same time as the convertible. Rumor has it, we could see them in 2028.
