Nio's upcoming Onvo L80 SUV spied on the streets
Nio sub-brand Onvo is launching its second model this year, the L80. This will follow the L60, the brand's debut EV, which came in 2024. While the L60 is a two-row five-seat SUV, the L80 will be a three-row six/seven-seat SUV.
Today some spy shots of an L80 under heavy camouflage have surfaced in China, showing it at a Tesla Supercharger station. The L80 allegedly aims to compete with Tesla's Model Y and Li Auto's L8.

It is noticeably bigger than the L60, but is expected to share the same 60kWh and 85kWh battery options. The L80 is built on Nio's NT3 platform which is also used in the ES7. Like the L60, the L80 will be able to use Nio's battery-swapping stations across China.
The L80 is apparently expected to be priced between CNY 260,000 ($35,800) and CNY 300,000 ($41,300). This would make it compete on price with the Model Y, while being larger. The official unveiling of the Onvo L80 should come in the next few weeks, with sales starting in May.
Last year, Nio delivered 20,761 Onvo L60 units, and this year, helped by the launch of the L80, it wants to take the brand to a whopping 240,000 units delivered.
