Porsche will use China-dedicated tech in its cars from next year
Porsche wants to connect even better with drivers in China, and in 2026, the company plans to launch a unique infotainment system just for the Chinese market.
Oliver Blume, the CEO of Porsche, talked about this plan at the Shanghai Auto Show. He said Porsche wants to create experiences that feel just right for Chinese customers. People in China use technology and digital services in ways that are different from other parts of the world. This new infotainment system will work smoothly with the popular tech and online services in China. It will have features and ways to connect that Chinese car owners expect.
By focusing on new digital ideas and making things personal, Porsche wants to make using their cars even better. This will also help the brand stay afloat in the world’s biggest car market. More and more car companies around the world are changing what they offer to fit the needs of different regions. This is especially true in China, where people quickly adopt new technology and want cars that are easy to connect and use.
Besides the tech news, Porsche also showed off the newest version of its well-known 911 sports car, the Porsche 911 Spirit 70, at the show. This new version continues Porsche’s history of mixing race car technology with cars you can drive on regular roads. With this 1,500-unit limited edition Carrera GTS Cabriolet, Porsche is blending its rich legacy with modern tech and that approach seems to work rather well with the Chinese crowd.
Showing off both a brand-new digital system and a powerful sports car highlights Porsche’s overall plan: blending its history with new ideas. As the car industry changes with electric cars, internet connections, and the need to customize for different regions, Porsche is working to balance its traditions with new technology.
