Enrique, 07 July 2022

Rivian began production of its vehicles in September of 2021 and more recently, the EV maker reached production output of 1,000 vehicles per month. This week, Rivian confirmed in a statement that it is still on track to produce 25,000 vehicles in 2022.

Rivian produced 4,401 vehicles during Q2 and delivered 4,467 EVs to customers during the same period. These numbers include both the Rivian R1T and R1S with no breakdown between the two models.

Last year, Rivian expected to manufacture 50,000 vehicles throughout 2022, but a severe battery shortage and ongoing global supply-chain delays have prompted Rivian to revise its guidance down to 25,000 vehicles for the year.

Since the start of production back in September ‘21, Rivian has produced 7,969 vehicles through the end of June. Rivian’s Georgia, US factory is currently underway and it expects to start producing vehicles at the new facility in 2024.
