Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD is now available to order in the US

Ro, 11 July 2024

When the first Model 3 launched in 2017, Tesla offered the vehicle in a Long-Range RWD version but discontinued the configuration two years later. It briefly became available in Europe, but only to corporate customers. Now, the company reintroduces the LR RWD variant in the US, and it perhaps offers the best value for money from the entire Model 3 lineup.

Up until now, Tesla offered the Long Range Model 3 only in dual-motor configuration. Now, combining the big battery with the single rear-mounted motor gives the said configuration the longest range of all versions. It promises 363 miles on a single charge, which is almost 100 miles more than the standard RWD variant and 22 miles more than the Long Range All-Wheel Drive.

The best part is that it costs $4,000 less than the Standard Range RWD, because it qualifies for the full tax credit as the starting price goes down from $42,490 to $34,990.

The big catch is that the Model 3 LR RWD is available only in the US for now and we don't know when it will roll to other markets, or even if at all.
