Tesla Model Y Juniper Performance model possibly found in the wild
Tesla's important refresh of its best selling car, the Model Y, is coming very soon. The new EV, codenamed Juniper, has been spotted in camo here and there, but today we have an interesting possibility: a Tesla Model Y Juniper Performance model being spotted on the streets in the wild.
That seems to be what X user Yann Masoch has captured on video from his current-gen Model Y Performance. Take a look:
Here is another video of the Model Y (Juniper) Performance I saw today.

I think it is the Performance version because:
- the rims look the same 20" rims we saw on the model 3 performance before
- there is a vent on the side of the front bumper
- my car is also a Y performance… pic.twitter.com/BZv24ogjs9
As Yann says, this appears to be a Model Y Juniper Performance based on the look of the rims being similar to those on the new Model 3 Performance, the presence of a vent on the side of the front bumper, as well as the height and ground clearance (which is ever so slightly lower in the Performance version).
The Model Y Juniper is rumored to go into production this month, so an official announcement could be imminent.
