Leaked images reveal the inside of the upcoming Kia EV4 GT

With Kia already taking orders for the EV4 in Korea and a European launch coming later this year, anticipation is building for its 2026 arrival in the United States. But it's not just the standard EV4 that has the people talking. Spy shots are now giving us a first glimpse inside the high-performance GT version, hinting at a machine ready to challenge some serious players.

Kia is billing the standard EV4 as "an entirely new type of EV sedan," emphasizing its wide stance and sleek fastback design that blends practicality with a sporty aesthetic. In its home market of Korea, this electric sedan starts at a rather appealing 41.92 million won, which translates to roughly $30,000. The official pricing for Europe and North America remains under wraps, but industry watchers expect the entry-level EV4 to land somewhere between $35,000 and $40,000 in the US.
For those of us with a slightly higher appetite for adrenaline, the EV4 GT is the model to watch. Kia has a history of delivering fast GT variants, with the EV6 GT famously launching in 2022 as "the most powerful Kia production vehicle ever." That machine delivers an impressive 576 horsepower, enabling it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds – territory usually reserved for exotic supercars. Unsurprisingly, the expectations for the EV4 GT are rather high. Could it be a true rival to the likes of the Tesla Model 3 Performance?
The production-ready EV4 GT was recently spotted near Kia and Hyundai's research and development facility in Korea, and keen-eyed photographers managed to snag some interior shots. Images from HealerTV reveal an interior that bears a striking resemblance to the well-appointed cabin of the larger Kia EV9 GT. One subtle difference appears to be the material used on the upper portion of the seats.
Although cleverly disguised in the spy photos, the dashboard of the EV4 GT will feature Kia's new ccNC (connected car Navigation Cockpit) infotainment system. This system has a panoramic curved display that integrates dual 12.3-inch screens – one serving as the driver's instrument cluster and the other for navigation and media.

The EV4 GT will likely sport a more aggressive front-end design and larger, more distinctive wheels, following the design language established by other Kia GT performance models. Under the skin, an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system powered by dual electric motors is the expected configuration, providing both enhanced traction and performance.
The standard Kia EV4 in Korea offers two battery options: a 58.2 kWh pack and a larger 81.4 kWh version. These provide driving ranges of approximately 237 miles and 331 miles, respectively. It's highly probable that the EV4 GT will get the larger 81.4 kWh battery, which is a consistent choice with other GT models in Kia's lineup.

When the EV4 officially launches in the US next year, it will come equipped with a NACS (North American Charging Standard) port, granting access to Tesla's extensive Supercharger network. The EPA-estimated range for the US market models is projected to be up to 330 miles. The base EV4 is targeting the $35,000 to $40,000 price point, but the more potent EV4 GT could command a price tag upwards of $50,000 to $55,000. For comparison, the larger Kia EV6 GT currently starts at $63,800.
