Zeekr 7X orders open in Europe
Zeekr has opened order books in Europe for its latest offering, the Zeekr 7X SUV. Following the successful launch of the Zeekr 001 shooting brake and Zeekr X compact SUV, the 7X marks the brand's third EV for the European market. With pre-orders now open in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Norway, the Zeekr 7X is set to hit European roads by summer 2025.
The Zeekr 7X was designed in Gothenburg, Sweden, and it embodies Zeekr's global vision. Built on Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, this SUV shares its underpinnings with its siblings, the 001 and X, and other models from Geely's vast portfolio of brands.
The 7X will come in three variants in Europe: Premium, Long Range, and Performance. The Premium and Long Range models are rear-wheel drive, powered by a single electric motor delivering 421 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The Premium model comes with a 75 kWh LFP battery pack, and it has an estimated range of 300 miles. The Long Range model gets a bigger 100 kWh NMC battery pack, which extends its range to 380 miles.
If the standard 421 hp is not enough and you're after some extra adrenaline rush, the Performance model is the answer. With dual electric motors powering all four wheels, it unleashes a combined output of 639 horsepower and 524 lb-ft of torque. The 0-62 mph sprint takes only 3.8 seconds, and just like the Long Range model, the Performance also gets the 100 kWh NMC battery pack.
Charging the Zeekr 7X should be a breeze thanks to its 800V high-voltage architecture. It supports peak charging power of up to 480 kW, but even with a 360 kW charger, the 7X Premium can charge from 10% to 80% in just 13 minutes. The Long Range and Performance models take 16 minutes due to their larger battery.
The Zeekr 7X is competitively priced, starting at €52,990 in the Netherlands, 529,000 Swedish Kronor ($48,240) in Sweden, and 539,900 Norwegian Krone ($48,360) in Norway. The Performance version starts at $69,890, which unfortunately is $4,400 more than the Tesla Model Y Performance, with which the 7X wants to compete. While these prices are significantly higher than those in China, they reflect the additional costs associated with tariffs and transportation.
