Cadillac teases Opulent Velocity concept on the V-Series' 20th birthday

Vlad, 13 March 2024

While the Celestiq might have conjured up the word "opulence" in your mind when you saw it (it definitely did for us), Cadillac isn't content on letting that be its only opulent vehicle. In fact, the brand is running with the theme as today it started teasing an upcoming concept called Opulent Velocity. It doesn't really get more Cadillac than that, does it?

The Opulent Velocity concept arrives as the V-Series celebrates 20 years of existence, having made its debut at the Sebring International Raceway in March 2004, and since then having brought "bold American craftsmanship, technology and performance to the street and track". Cadillac says the "V-Series represents the purest expression of the passion that exists at the core of the Cadillac brand". Don't blink when you're watching the teaser video below, however, for you might miss it.

The Opulent Velocity is "designed to celebrate the past, present and future of Cadillac and its performance brand, V-Series", the official press release states. And its mission "is to demonstrate the evolution of Cadillac's revered sense of opulence, while envisioning the future of a high velocity performance driving experience".

The company promises to share more about this concept "later this year". In the meantime, Cadillac will be back at Sebring this weekend to celebrate the V-Series' 20th birthday, aiming to defend last year's win by the No.31 Whelen Cadillac team in the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring race.
