Faraday Future's new EV has a face and an AI brain

Faraday Future has pulled the curtain back on its latest creation: an AI-powered multi-purpose vehicle aimed at the US market. Called the FX Super One EAI-MPV, this new EV is - according to the company - not just another electric car; it's an intelligent companion on wheels, complete with a digital "face" and an advanced AI brain. As far as official announcements go, this one ends up in the all-time top five.

In a private event held in Los Angeles on June 29, 2025, Faraday Future introduced what it hopes will be its first mass-market success. The FX Super One is a departure from the company's ultra-luxury FF 91, carrying a design that blends the utility of a minivan with the sleek lines of a modern crossover.

Production will begin in late 2025 at the company's facility in Hanford, California. The exact pricing remains under wraps until a public reveal on July 17, 2025, but FF promises to make this model significantly more affordable than its six-figure predecessor.

What sets the FX Super One apart is its integration of artificial intelligence. The vehicle features the "FF Super EAI F.A.C.E. System," which replaces the traditional front grille with a dynamic screen. This interface is designed to display patterns and messages, allowing the vehicle to, in a sense, communicate its status or even "emotions" to the outside world.

Inside, the AI integration goes much deeper. The vehicle operates on the "FF EAI Embodied Intelligence AI Agent 6×4 Architecture." It's a mouthful, but the core idea is to create a true digital assistant. Powered by an upgraded FF AI 2.0 system that uses OpenAI's technology, the in-car agent can understand complex, conversational commands.

Instead of barking "Set temperature to 70 degrees," a user could say, "I'm feeling a little chilly," and the AI would adjust the climate accordingly. The system supports over 50 languages and can even pull real-time information from the web.

Faraday Future is offering two powertrain options for the FX Super One. Customers can choose a fully battery-electric version or what the company calls an AI Hybrid Extended Range (AIHER) model, which we expect to be a fancy name for an EREV drive.

This hybrid option is designed to address range anxiety and perform reliably in diverse climates, such as the cold winters of the US East Coast. The interior is designed to be spacious and luxurious, featuring high-end materials, customizable ambient lighting, and premium entertainment systems for passengers.

Despite a rocky history, Faraday Future appears to have some early interest in its new direction. The company announced it has secured 4,000 non-binding pre-orders from business-to-business clients, including rental car companies, real estate brokerages, and live commerce agencies.

This initial demand suggests that some businesses are willing to bet on FF's vision of a smarter, more interactive electric vehicle. The real test will come after the public launch on July 17, when individual consumers can begin placing paid pre-orders and the full specifications and pricing are finally revealed.
