It has been over a year since Mercedes-Benz unveiled its electric EQE sedan and finally the deliveries in the US are about to start. The company has revealed pricing and equipment levels for the three upcoming EQE versions.

When the EQE was unveiled, Mercedes was promising at least 400 miles of range, but unfortunately the reality is substantially different - the EQE 350+ with a 90.6 kWh battery gets a 305-mile EPA rating. Mercedes is still not unveiling full performance specifications for the US market, although the car has been available in Europe for months now and we have the specs for every model right here.

The 305-mile EPA rating is much lower than the WLTP range of 397 miles - in all honesty early tests of the EQE show it can comfortably deliver well over 300 miles in everyday driving.

Three versions of the EQE sedan are initially available in the US - 350+, 350 4MATIC and 500 4MATIC.

Each of the models will come in three different trims - Premium, Exclusive and Pinnacle. Here are the equipment levels available in each trim together with the prices:

There is no larger battery available for the European market and it is unlikely Mercedes would offer it in the US but the Mercedes EQS comes with a 108.4 kWh pack - can the company shoehorn it into the smaller EQE?

With the very pessimistic EPA rating for the base EQE 350+ we can expect even less favorable numbers for the faster models. The 350 4MATIC in Europe comes with the same power output as the 350+ but has more torque at 765Nm and its WLTP range is 580km or 360 miles.

The EQE 500 4MATIC has 408hp and 858Nm of torque and interestingly enough, WLTP certified the vehicle to go 590km (366 miles) on a charge. More powerful version seems to have more efficient electric motors since both the 500 4MATIC and 350 4MATIC use the same 90.6 kWh battery packs.

It will be interesting to see the full US EQE specifications and compare and their ranges on the EPA cycle. Mercedes will update the EQE US datasheet fairly soon because the first units are already on the way to the dealerships - let the buying frenzy begin.
