Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV is now available in Europe

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV got official in April of last year for the US market, and starting today it's finally available to order from the brand's sales partners in Germany "and other European markets".

The EQS 680 SUV sets "a new benchmark in electric mobility", Mercedes says, with its "unmistakable" and "elegant design" featuring the Maybach emblem and the Maybach grille. On request, you can get it in two-tone paintwork in various combinations. The optional Night Series package further enhances the aesthetics with a darker, "even more progressive" look.

The car supports a digital key, that works with iPhones (iPhone 11 and later, except iPhone SE) and Apple Watches (Series 6 and later, except Apple Watch SE). The key can be shared with up to 16 people via AirDrop or even iMessage. The digital key comes pre-installed in markets where Mercedes me connect services are available.

To recap, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV comes with dual motors developing 484 kW / 649 hp of power and 701 lb-ft of torque, boasting a 0 to 62 mph acceleration of 4.4 seconds. The top speed is 130 mph.

Once again, Mercedes isn't disclosing the battery capacity, but says the range is 347 miles to 380 miles. The battery charges at 22 kW AC in 5.5 hours, and goes from 10% to 80% at a 200 kW DC fast charger in 31 minutes, with 15 minutes yielding up to 143 miles of range.
