Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV production line opens in Indonesia in 2024
Mitsubishi's iconic Minicab-MiEV is one of the company's most successful vehicles ever since its inception in 2011. Production was halted for a short while, but since the market demand for such vehicles picked up in the last couple of years, the MiEV returned to the production line last November. And now, the Japanese company announced that the electric kei car will be produced in Indonesia as well during this year's Indonesia International Motor Show 2023.
The Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha plant in Indonesia will carry out the assembly. The factory has a production capacity of 220,000 vehicles annually and employs 3,300 workers.
Back to the Minicab MiEV itself. It's a small van used for short deliveries and a competitor to Honda's N-Van. Mitsubishi's offering has 40hp output, 196Nm torque and two battery variants - 10.5kWh and 16kWh with 100km and 150km range, respectively.

There are almost zero practical Ev's so this is very welcome, they should also do the truck/ute version as well, now Australia just needs to wake up an subsidise their import.
