Hyundai N is boldly moving towards the future of motorsport with its all-electric lineup at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. However, the Korean automaker is not only vying for its fourth consecutive TCR class victory with three Elantra N TCR cars. The company is also showcasing the impressive capabilities of its Ioniq 5 N TA (Time Attack) Spec at the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

The Ioniq 5 N TA Spec is a testament to Hyundai N's commitment to high-performance electric vehicles. Building upon the strengths of the already very capable production-spec Ioniq 5 N, this track-ready variant boasts a power increase to 687 PS through software tuning while maintaining the same high-performance power electric system and 84 kWh battery as the standard model.

To conquer the challenging terrain of Pikes Peak, the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec has been equipped with three-way adjustable dampers, motorsport-spec brakes, 18-inch Yokohama ADVAN 005 slick tires, and a bespoke high-downforce aerodynamic package. Safety enhancements include a Recaro Pro Racer SPA Hans seat, a Sabelt six-point safety harness, a PPIHC specification roll cage, and an EV fire suppression system.

Hyundai's Pikes Peak record attempt involves two Ioniq 5 N TA Spec models, driven by seasoned champions Robin Shute and Dani Sordo, and two production Ioniq 5 N models, piloted by Paul Dallenbach and Ron Zaras. The team aims to break records in the Electric Production SUV/Crossover and Electric Modified SUV/Crossover categories.

Beyond the racetrack, Hyundai N is expanding its presence in the virtual world through a collaboration with Gran Turismo. This partnership will feature the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec in the popular sim-racing video game, allowing players to experience the thrill of driving this high-performance EV on virtual tracks.

Hyundai N's participation in the Nürburgring 24 Hours and Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and collaboration with Gran Turismo demonstrate the brand's unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of motorsport and EV technology. The company's all-electric lineup, featuring the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 5 N TA Spec, is bound to make a lasting impact on the future of racing.

regular 5N is a track monster. handling, brakes, cooling and power delivery has no degradation under sustained stress. I'm sure it is one a few EV cars that can survive those events.
