Xiaomi SU7 Ultra battery capacity and range revealed

Vlad, 05 December 2024

The upcoming Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has been certified for sale in China by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and this has revealed both its battery capacity and its CLTC range numbers.

So let's dig in. The supercar has a 93.7 kWh battery supplied by CATL, and a range of up to 391 miles in the CLTC cycle, but do please bear in mind that this is by far the most 'optimistic' EV testing cycle there is. So in real life, you'll definitely get less.

The MIIT has also published three other, more conservative range numbers, depending on usage: 323 miles, 345 miles, and 373 miles. We asume the lowest number is for the highest speeds, and the highest for city-only driving, or thereabouts.

The SU7 is 199.6 inches long, 77.6 inches wide, 57.7 inches tall, has a wheelbase of 118 inches, weighs 5,203 lb and the battery pack's weight is 1,407 lb. The car became available for pre-order in China at the end of October starting at CNY 814,900 (approximately $112,000), and deliveries are set to start in March.

Xiaomi has revised its sales targets for the non-Ultra SU7 multiple times this year, most recently having sold 100,000 units and hoping to deliver 130,000 in total by the end of the year. In 2025, thanks to a new factory going online, it should reach 360,000 units.
