Even though Tesla took reservations from all around the world when announcing the Cybertruck, the company only delivered the vehicle to the US, Canada and Mexico. Now, South Korea is joining this list.

Cybertruck steps out of North America, South Korea is the first to get it

In an official post on X, Tesla South Korea urged people who have reserved the Cybertruck to confirm their reservations over the next week. The vehicle's starting price is KRW 145 million, which is around $104,000 - $24,000 more than what the Cybertruck costs in the US.

Even though it may sound strange that Tesla chose South Korea to start its expansion outside of North America, the company has a strong fanbase and a decent number of investors in Korea.

Still, the Cybertruck has been a total flop as Tesla is on track to sell 25,000 units per year, a far cry from the initial plans to sell 250,000 units yearly.

Since the US will no longer offer the EV tax credit starting in October, Tesla is looking to sell its Cybertruck somewhere else to offset the loss of potential buyers in its home market.
