Cadillac has officially taken the wraps off its newest electric player: the 2025 Cadillac Optiq. The dynamic crossover joins Cadillac's expanding EV lineup in China with a bold design and a capable powertrain.

Visually, the Optiq bears a striking resemblance to its bigger sibling, the Cadillac Lyriq. It carries Cadillac's signature vertical lighting elements, a dramatic front fascia, and a sporty, sloping roofline. The hero color is a vibrant orange hue, while the interior boasts an impressive 33-inch curved digital display.

The Optiq comes in two distinct flavors: Standard and Long Range. The Standard boasts a front-mounted electric motor with 241 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, propelling it from 0 - 62mph in a respectable 7 seconds. Its 68.4 kWh battery pack provides an estimated range of 333 miles on a single charge (according to the CLTC standard).

The Long Range version delivers both a bigger battery and more spirited acceleration. It uses two electric motors for all-wheel drive and a combined output of 283 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque. This more powerful combination allows for a swift 0 - 62 mph sprint in about 6 seconds. The Long Range also offers a generous 373 miles range thanks to its larger 79.7 kWh battery pack.

Leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 126-color ambient lighting system promise to pamper occupants, while a wireless smartphone charger and a digital rearview mirror add convenience. A solid suite of driver assistance is part of the package as well - lane assist, auto braking, Super Cruise (top version only), and even OnStar come included.

Cadillac offers a lifetime warranty on the vehicle's electric systems to sweeten the deal for potential buyers. Unfortunately, there's no word yet on potential releases in other markets.
