Tesla Cybertuck shows new updated interior

Max McDee, 08 June 2022

Tesla has just officially opened the Moss Landing Megapack project in California. The energy storage facility is being built for PG&E and is one of the biggest such projects in the world with 730MWh capacity. It was switched on for the first time back in April but now it is officially commissioned.

The surprise guest at the ceremony was the Tesla Cybertruck. It turned up wearing a pair of giant side mirrors and a shorter version of its windscreen wiper. Does it manage to clear the entire field of view we’re not sure - maybe it extends a bit?

Local news crew from KSBW managed to snap a couple of shots of the updated interior - clearly this is a testing vehicle, with airbag missing and other covers not in place and even something taped up to the windscreen.

Apart from that the interior looks production ready with a small instrument panel for the driver and large central screen - still running Tesla Model S graphics. Interestingly enough, the radio is playing the New York Hot97 station - that’s not an Easter egg, just a NYC radio station.

The Cybertruck is obviously testing the Tesla yoke hence the airbag is missing, everything else seems to be in place. On the outside we notice a much larger front bumper and huge all terrain tires. We’ve been patiently waiting for the Cybertruck since 2019 and according to Elon Musk it is coming next year.

Yes, we heard that before many times before but honestly - nobody believed this car was going to make it to the market at all, so we probably shouldn't be too disappointed. The whole world expected something more tamed - not the Cybertruck from Blade Runner.

Maybe they are BBS? It's possible they put them on just for testing. I'm sure we'll find out once the truck hits the market... sometime in the next decade...

Leonardo was so ahead of the world - the tank was unreal...
