Tesla is trying to entice potential buyers of the Model S and Model X with the introduction of the 'Drive Anywhere Package.' This new offering is supposed to improve the ownership experience for Tesla Model S and Model X customers, offering a compelling blend of value and innovation.

Priced at $5,000 in the US, the 'Drive Anywhere Package' includes three years of unlimited Supercharger access. Additionally, the package grants three years of access to Tesla's Full Self-Driving feature, plus the Premium Connectivity is also bundled in, ensuring drivers stay connected on their journeys.

For those who decide to go for the lifetime Full Self-Driving option, priced at $8,000, the cost of the 'Drive Anywhere Package' drops to $2,000.

Tesla offers two variants for both the Model S and Model X. The Model S All-Wheel Drive starts at $74,990, while the performance-oriented Model S Plaid commands a starting price of $89,990. The Model X All-Wheel Drive and Plaid variants follow suit, with base prices of $79,990 and $94,990, respectively.

The 'Drive Anywhere Package' is Tesla's attempt to revive slowing sales of its electric flagships. By combining convenience, latest technology, and cost savings, Tesla hopes to entice more customers by offering better value - and that's not a bad thing.

The FSD has come leaps and bounds in its last couple of iterations, and the latest version has jusy landed. For someone who plans to keep their Tesla for many years, going for such a bundle makes more sense than paying a monthly subscription. On the other hand, first-time buyers would be better off trying out the FSD before committing themselves to a long-term relationship.
