Tesla reports record-breaking car shipments in Q2 2023

Tesla's production report for Q2 2023 is ready and the company was able to beat expectations. It reached an all-time high in shipments, beating its previous record from Q1 2023 when it shipped 422,875 vehicles.

In the second quarter of 2023 global deliveries amount to 466,140 units, which is about a 10% jump from the previous record-breaking quarter. The breakdown between its high-end and mid-range models is 19,225 and 446,915, meaning the Model S and Model X account for little less than 20,000 units of the total volume. The Model 3 and Model Y performance is what drives Tesla's growth, as usual.

Moreover, Tesla produced 479,700 vehicles in total in Q2 and was able to ship almost all of them. That's an impressive performance, especially when most automakers are piling up inventories. Its strong Q1 and Q2 performance this year puts Tesla right on track to deliver 2 million vehicles this year.
