Chinese EV maker Voyah announces plans to enter Europe this year

Voyah, a Dongfeng Motor company for EVs, announced its plans to enter the European market starting with Norway. This is the third Chinese manufacturer with such ambitions after NIO and Xpeng.

Currently, the company is offering just one model, the Voyah FREE and will debut in Oslo this June but actual shipments will kick off sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. Shipments will be handled by Dongfeng Motor Industry Import & Export Co Ltd.

Since Voyah is a new brand with a history starting in 2020, this is the first time the firm steps outside of China. The first car arrived last June with a starting price of CNY 313,600 ($49,500). Naturally, the price tag for the European market will be higher due to import taxes and VAT.

The vehicle can also be configured with a petrol range extender, but rumors point to only the pure electric version will be available in Europe.
