VW ID.7 Tourer orders open in the UK, has roughly the same price as the sedan
Volkswagen unveiled its first all-electric estate in February, launched in Germany a couple of weeks later and is now finally reaching UK shores too. The ID.7 Tourer in the UK comes in just one trim for now, the so-called Pro Match, while the Pro S and the high-performance GTX version are scheduled for a release sometime this summer.
The entry-level Pro Match configuration is open for orders starting tomorrow, April 18, and asks $68,910, which is just $910 more than the matching sedan version in the UK. It's also the only available sedan version in the UK for the time being. Interestingly, the station wagon in Germany undercuts the sedan option.
Anyway, the standard VW ID.7 Pro model gives you a rear-mounted 210 kW (286 hp) electric motor, a 82 kWh battery pack rated for 377 miles by WLTP's standards and DC fast charging that gets you from 10 to 80% in 28 minutes.
As we already mentioned, the beefed-up Pro S and GTX variants will be available this summer with bigger 91 kWh batteries.
