2025 BYD Han debuts with upgrades and price cuts

BYD has thrown down the gauntlet in the electric sedan market with the refreshed 2025 Han. The electric models, with ranges between 314 miles and 436 miles, depending on the battery pack, now come with BYD's Blade Battery technology. For those who aren't quite ready to ditch gasoline entirely, the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version uses BYD's fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system. This clever combination of a 1.5T turbocharged engine and an electric motor offers enough grunt to propel the Han from 0 to 62 mph in 6.9 seconds. The PHEV version apparently sips fuel at 3.8 l/62 miles in hybrid mode, offering a combined range of up to 839 miles.

The 2025 Han might have the heart of a tech powerhouse, but it also knows how to make a statement. While the dimensions remain similar to previous models – 195.9 inches long, 75.2 inches wide, and 58.9 inches tall, with a 115 inches wheelbase – the Han's design has received some subtle yet impactful tweaks. Inside, the Han is all about refined comfort and the latest tech.
