Nio shows the new ES8's interior ahead of August 21 launch, and it's huge

Nio is launching the new ES8 on August 21, and ahead of that the brand is teasing various aspects of what will become the biggest electric SUV from a Chinese company.

The ES8's interior has been shown in official images, including details in the doors. There are apparently 120,000 stitches on the seats.

The car is 207.9 inches long, 79.1 inches wide, 70.9 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 123.2 inches. As you can see, it will be a six-seater.

The outside does betray its huge size, but it's still rather recognizable as a Nio. It has three LiDAR sensors - one on the roof and two on the front sides - along with 4D imaging radar, just like the Nio ET9.
The ES8's maximum power output is 520kW (697hp). It has a ternary lithium battery supplied by CATL, and uses a 900V system with peak voltage of 925V. It will replenish 155 miles of range in five minutes, with a peak charging rate of 600kW and peak charging current of 765A. It naturally supports Nio's battery swapping system.
