Peugeot announces 8 years Allure Care warranty for the new e-3008 and ChatGPT for all cars

Peugeot had a very busy 2024 E-Lion Day. The company decided last year that it would be a good idea to copy tech giants and some other automakers such as Tesla and Nio, and hold an event during which to share company updates and goals for the coming year.

The company reaffirmed its goal of offering a 100% electric portfolio of vehicles by the end of 2024. Peugeot is well suited to actually achieve this target and it will offer 12 electric vehicles - 9 passenger and 3 commercial - by the end of the year. The company is part of the Stellantis automotive emporium and as such it has access to a vast treasure trove of technology readily available. There are two more EVs coming to the market this year - E-408 scheduled for debut in September, and E-5008 which should be unveiled in August.

The company confirmed that the new E-208 will be available in France through the initiative called "My Electric Lease." That's a government-sponsored lease program that allows qualified customers to buy an electric car at a heavily discounted rate. In the case of the E-208, that means $106 per month for a car that promises up to 352 miles of city driving range.

Probably the biggest news though, is the 8-year Peugeot Allure Care program for the owners of the new E-3008. This optional service will cover the electric motor, the charger, the complete powertrain, and the electrical and mechanical components for up to 99,400 miles or 8 years - whichever comes first. The interesting part is that the Allure Care is automatically triggered for 2 years or 15,530 miles for every service carried out at the Peugeot service center - no extra payment is required.

In a true sign of our times, Peugeot is now offering ChatGPT across the entire range of its electric vehicles. Initially available in 5 markets, the service will roll out globally in the second half of this year. ChatGPT will be fully integrated into Peugeot's i-Cockpit and the company promises it will offer a "true partner" experience. The AI-powered chatbot will be able to answer a wide range of queries and it will interact with all passengers.

This year Peugeot is teaming up with Born Free education charity to protect wild species and wild locations across the world. The work doesn’t stop just with education though - the company is helping with actual efforts in Kenya to protect wildlife while at the same time protecting people and their livelihood from that wildlife.
