First Chevrolet Silverado 2024 live photos surface

Ro, 19 September 2022

Chevrolet unveiled its huge pickup truck called Silverado back in January this year, but it's not expected to hit the streets before Q2 next year at the earliest. And this is the first time we get to see live photos of the truck revealing some never-before-seen details. The photos were taken during this year's Detroit auto show.

A quick rundown of the key specs - a 200 kWh battery is supposed to deliver about 644km of autonomy on a single charge, while the two motors on the front and back ensure 664hp output and 1,056Nm torque. That's for the RST trim, mind.

CarScoops say that the truck is quite high in person but air suspensions allow you to adjust the height in the 5 cm range.

The bed on the back is more than 1.8 meters long and features Multi-Flex Midgate that can fold down and take in even longer items - up to 2.74 m with the seats down and with the tailgate opened, you can fit 3.3 m-long objects.

The standard Silverado version can tow cargo of up to 3,629 kg, but a special version is in the works that can tow stuff up to 9,072 kg.

The RST trim is reported to cost $105,000 but the most affordable option will ask just $39,900 and it's supposed to appeal to companies looking for a fleet of pickups.
