Tesla launches Model Y Performance in the US
Tesla delivered the refreshed Model Y in January this year, but none of the available configurations was the Model Y Performance. Starting September 30, the US Tesla branch is taking orders for the Model Y Performance, which starts at $57,500.

The vehicle is already on the streets in Europe, but it's finally making its way to US shores as well. There are no surprises in particular as it sports the same 82.1 kWh battery the European model has, offering 360 miles as per WLTP. According to the EPA readings, which weren't known at the time, the vehicle can travel 308 miles away from the plug.
The more powerful motor is good for 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.3 seconds while the top speed is advertised as 155 mph.
What sets the Performance version apart is the improved suspension with adaptive damping, while the higher-density battery enables faster charging compared to the rest of the Model Y configurations.
Additionally, the Model Y Performance gains new 21-inch Arachnid wheels, larger seats with bigger cushioning on the sides, and more Drive Modes.
