Hyundai has officially launched its 2026 Ioniq 9 all-electric three-row SUV in the United States. All versions promise over 298 miles of driving range on a single charge. The starting price of $60,555 includes a $1,600 shipping fee, plus the Ioniq 9 is also eligible for a $7,500 federal tax credit for those who purchase it outright as it's built in the US. The top-of-the-line model will set buyers back $78,090.

Manufactured at Hyundai's facility in Georgia, the Ioniq 9 comes in six different trim levels. Each one is equipped with the same 110.3 kWh battery. Using a 350 kW fast charger, drivers can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes. A heat pump also comes standard across the entire lineup, which should help to maintain efficiency in colder climates.

The base model is the Ioniq 9 RWD S, and it offers the longest range at an estimated 335 miles. It features a single electric motor powering the rear wheels, producing 215 horsepower. This version can tow up to 3,499 lb and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 8.4 seconds.

Stepping up to the Ioniq 9 AWD SE, priced at $64,365, adds a front electric motor, providing all-wheel drive and increasing the total power output to 303 horsepower. The towing capacity also jumps to 5,000 lb, and the zero-to-60 mph time drops to 6.2 seconds. However, the estimated driving range for this model is slightly lower at 320 miles.

For $67,920, the Ioniq 9 AWD SEL keeps the same powertrain and range as the SE but adds several premium features. These include larger 20-inch wheels, power-folding side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, ventilated front seats, a blind-spot monitoring system, and ambient interior lighting.

If you want more power, Hyundai offers three Performance-branded trims. These versions get a more powerful front motor, resulting in a total output of 422 horsepower and a quicker zero-to-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds. The estimated range for these performance models is 311 miles.

An important feature for all 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 models is the inclusion of a Tesla-designed NACS charging port. This provides owners with access to over 15,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across North America. Just in case, Hyundai includes a CCS to NACS adapter as standard equipment.

To entice customers, Hyundai is also offering a complimentary ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 EV charger or $400 in charging credits on the ChargePoint network with the purchase of a new Ioniq 9.
