Zeekr 009 interior revealed through official teaser shots
Chinese giant car maker Geely decided to launch a premium EV brand back in March of last year, and it's called Zeekr. The brand's second car, the Zeekr 009, is coming soon, and the company has already shown us some official teaser shots of what it looks like on the outside.
Today, we get the same treatment, but for the inside. The Zeekr 009 has a 15.4-inch "floating" central infotainment screen, a retractable gear selector in the area between the seats, and a small-ish 'sporty'-style steering wheel.
Also in between the front seats are two cup holders and a wireless charging pad, while the seats themselves are wrapped in perforated leather.
The car has a six-seat layout, with two seats per row spread across three rows. The second-row seats have cup holders and fold-out tables, as well as a duo of speakers in each headrest. The second-row passengers also get a 15.6" screen between them.
There's even a touchscreen on each sliding door, with which the second-row passengers can control temperature, the windows, locking and unlocking the door, and the sunshade. An additional small touchscreen is located on the B pillar for operating the sliding door.
The Zeekr 009 is built on the SEA platform, which has so far also been used by the Zeekr 001, Lotus Eletre, and Smart #1. The 009's two electric motors give a combined power output of 534 hp (392 kW). The car is 5,209 mm (205") long, 2,024 mm (79") wide, and 1,856 mm (73") tall, and its wheelbase is 3,205 mm (126"). It will be using CATL's new Qilin batteries, and deliveries are expected to begin in the first half of next year.
Its very... distinctive, shall we say, front end, with that enormous faux grille look, has already made it incredibly famous on the Chinese Internet. Whether the attention will neatly translate into sales remains to be seen, of course, but do note that the Zeekr 001 has already sold over 45,000 units.
