BMW teases the Vision Neue Klasse concept ahead of the official release on September 2

BMW is about to introduce its Vision Neue Klasse concept, which will be the first preview of the the company's future EV lineup. The Neue Klasse platform will debut during the IAA Mobility auto show in Munich, Germany on September 2. The concept will be joined by a couple of new BMW models, including a hybrid 5 Series and the all-electric Cooper and Countryman.

The company shared a teaser on X showcasing the front fascia grille of the Vision Neue Klasse concept. It's probably safe to assume that this grille design will be the signature feature of future BMW models. It features a flat design with breathing LED strips running down.

Regarding the Neue Klasse platform, it will underpin six new BMWs, which will be released all within 24 months. The first will be a sedan followed by an SUV. Neue Klasse is 50% cheaper to manufacture and provides 30% efficiency boost while capping at 1,314 hp. The battery can be anything between 75 and 150 kWh.
