DS teases its next EV offering 750 km range
Stellantis, the company that produces all of DS's EVs, just teased an upcoming fastback crossover-car. The vehicle is wrapped in camo, revealing only certain features, but it's not hard to guess that this is likely the upcoming DS8 model, expected to launch by the end of this year.
The DS8 will sit on Stellantis' STLA Medium platform used for other models across Peugeot, Opel and Citroen.
The teaser doesn't reveal much, except that the alleged DS8 will offer 466 miles of range on a single charge, according to WLTP. The brand has focused on aerodynamic efficiency, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.24 Cd.
Judging by the camo, the vehicle will perfectly fit the current DS models with an aggressive stance, grille-less front and DS Pixel Vision lights with vertical DRLs.
Even though the STLA Medium platform is compatible with plug-in hybrids and mild hybrids, we doubt the DS8 will be offered in anything other than in the BEV variant. Back in 2023, the company announced that it would be fully electric this year.
