Max speed - definition
The Max speed listed is the maximum speed that a given EV model can reach. This sometimes means the speed that the car can physically reach, or, in a lot of cases, a speed that the manufacturer has decided to set as the maximum - this is enforced electronically, so even if theoretically the car would be able to go faster, in practice its software won't let it.
There are a lot of EV makers limiting max speeds much more aggressively than we've seen for comparable internal combustion engine cars, because EVs are very 'thirsty' for power at high speeds.
We generally list max speeds in both km/h and mph.
