Huawei-backed automaker Aito is getting closer to launching its ultra-luxury SUV, the Aito M9. Some of the specs leaked back in early August and now a regulatory filing with the Chinese MIIT confirms some of the details and reveals more about the vehicle. We've got some photos of the SUV as well.

The first thing to know about the Aito M9 is that it comes in two versions - EREV and BEV. The EREV option is equipped with a 112 hp, 1.5L generator and two electric motors - a 221 hp one mounted on the front axle and a rear-mounted one rated at 268 hp.

The BEV version is more powerful as it runs on a Huawei-made 215 hp front motor and 308 hp rear one. Batteries are supplied by CATL.
