Lynk & Co will launch its own phone courtesy of Meizu
More and more automakers are venturing into the smartphone market. This September, Geely's Lynk & Co, in partnership with Meizu, will launch the Lynk & Co Phone Pro. Although this might seem like it's merely about selling another gadget, it actually points to a deeper integration of automotive and smartphone technology. The promise of a seamless integration between two of the most frequently used devices in your life explains this new trend.

The recent teaser image of the Phone Pro, taken with the device itself, reveals a 24mm wide-angle camera with an f/1.9 aperture. These specifications mirror those of the Meizu 20, suggesting that the Lynk & Co Phone Pro might leverage Meizu's existing smartphone technology. If so, we can expect a 6.55-inch screen, a 50 MP camera, up to 12 GB of RAM, and a top of the line Snapdragon chipset.
Lynk & Co Phone Pro will use Meizu techGeely's acquisition of Meizu in 2022 laid the groundwork for this collaboration. The companies jointly developed the Flyme Auto infotainment system, now found in various Geely vehicles, including the Lynk & Co 08.
Lynk & Co Z10The Lynk & Co Phone Pro is expected to launch alongside the Lynk & Co Z10 electric sedan.
Interestingly, the collaboration between Geely and Meizu will also go the other way around. Meizu, pinching a page from Xiaomi's book, is also venturing into the electric car market, with plans to launch the DreamCar MX electric sedan based on Geely's SEA architecture.
